Tawney is a Missoula native who stumbled upon yoga at a very early age through VHS yoga video rentals from the Missoula Public Library. Since she discovered the practice, it's taken her to far corners of the earth to teach in California, Bali, London, Spain and Morocco. Tawney's yoga classes are experiential, with a creative, dynamic flow that's never the same thing twice. Her classes are designed to get you out of your head and into your body and breath, releasing tension and helping you to lengthen, stretch and open up. Focused on building mental and physical strength, her yoga aims to balance out all the day-to-day stress we put our bodies through and have you walking out the door feeling more grounded, centered, and awake to all life has to offer. Expect to play, sweat, laugh, stretch, build strength, and accept where you are today.
Tawney earned her 200 hour RYS in 2017 with the Roots of Yoga Teacher Training in Santa Cruz, California and Costa Rica. She has studied under Hannah Muse and Kenny Graham and is currently earning her certificate for 500 hr RYS.
