Gentle and unassuming, Lori Davidson is an IHY instructor who strives to bring strength and balance to the mat, while anchoring the breath in a quest for awareness. Active throughout her life, she found yoga brought her solace during a period that required searching for inner strength and stillness. A year into her practice, she had the opportunity to go to a yoga retreat in Peru where she found yoga beyond asana in the majesty of ruins and gentle breezes of the Andes mountains. She was transfixed and transformed by the culture and environment- the experience rooted her and gave her direction into a solid yogic lifestyle. Another retreat opportunity presented itself in Guatemala, where it became clear to her that she wanted to enrich her practice and begin the journey to become a yoga teacher. In 2015 she went to Yandara Yoga Institute in Baja Mexico to get her 200 hour teacher training, and in 2016 traveled to India to study yoga in the foothills of the Himalayas. She has attended workshops with Tias Little, Seane Corne, Sadie Nardini, Rodney Yee, as well as prenatal yoga teacher training with Kirsten Warner and acroyoga teacher training with Lux Sternstein, to expand her understanding of strength, safe alignment and flow while keeping her practice and her classes expansive, centered and lighthearted.
